Buyer decision library

Start with the decision. Then ask for the evidence.

These guides start one step earlier: should the product be sourced internationally at all? Then they move through supplier approval, production evidence, and shipment release. The goal is a buyer decision supported by technical, commercial, and factory evidence.

Deep sourcing

Should this product be imported from China at all?

Start with technical equivalence, destination-market supply, current local pricing, tariff and freight sensitivity, and the buyer's real pain point. A good sourcing study is allowed to conclude that buying locally is the better decision.

Before deposit

Is this a real manufacturer, and can it handle the package?

Verify the legal entity, factory identity, process ownership, engineering capability, quality system, current workload, payment entity, and the evidence behind major sales claims before money moves.

Factory capability

What should a steel-structure factory audit actually prove?

A useful audit connects people, equipment, welding, material traceability, subcontracting, QA/QC records, capacity and current work to the buyer's drawings and specification—not just a factory tour.

Before shipment

Can the material and finished goods be traced to the shipment?

Sample the evidence chain in both directions: packed piece to fabrication and receiving records, then selected heat or inspection unit forward to finished members and packing records.
